Then Comes Silence Share Music Video For "The Dead Cry For No One"

Swedish post punk/dark wave band Then Comes Silence have shared the video for their new single "The Dead Cry For No One".

The band are currently working on their debut album, which is scheduled for release later in the year via Nuclear Blast.

About the track, singer/songwriter Alex Svenson said: "My fascination for darkness is a still point of my turning world and influences every tune and word I write. The song 'The Dead Cry For No One' is my way of describing our insignificance and transience versus the self-righteous egos we all carry with us.

We're gravely missing the whole entirety of our existence. It shouldn't be about you and your ego. We are all a part of something big together. When you die someone or something else is given life. Don't repress death. Well, it's easier said than done. I have an ego too shaped by the world I grew up in and live in. Being mindful of it is the first step.

I lost someone very dear to me when I was writing the album. The song helps me through the sorrowful times, but it's not a sentimental tune, instead it's got a pulse. A fist in the air for the dead."

Cymbals Announce New LP 'Light In Your Mind', Share New Single "Decay"

London based dance-pop/post punk/new wave band Cymbals have announced they will release their new album titled 'Light In Your Mind' on August 25 on Tough Love Records.

The record is the first new material from CYMBALS in two years, and their first album since January 2014. If the wait seems long for the listener, for those involved in its creation the time in between pulls in a lifetime of unexpected experiences. That Light In Your Mind even exists is a testament to not giving in. That it sounds the way it does is both remarkable and, somehow, inevitable.

The band have also shared the first single "Decay,", which according to Jack Cleverly "is about getting comfortable with decay, accepting decay. Around the time we were writing that song I went to the Ruin Lust exhibition, and saw the beauty of things breaking down. I was thinking about that in terms of my own life, as a lot of things that I thought my life was based on seemed to be crumbling, but at the same time there was a whole load of beauty, and openings up of myself, of things that I never thought were there. I felt that I could breathe in a way, but at the same time it was kind of full of destruction and chaos, or at least I was creating that around me."

Pre-order the album here, check out the tracklist and have a listen to "Decay" below.
