Childbirth Announce New Album Women's Rights, Drop New Single "Nasty Grrls"

Seattle punk rock band Childbirth have announced plans to release their sophomore album "Women's Rights" on Rocktober 2 via Suicide Squeeze Records.

Childbirth is a "supergroup" in the sense its members are all in other hit bands (Julia Shapiro of Chastity Belt, Bree McKenna of Tacocat, Stacy Peck of Pony Time) and also that they do good for the world while in costume.

The songs on the album "describe what is fucked up in the world so evocatively that it needs no commentary, and always with a biting sense of humor."

Salad Boys Announce Debut Album 'Metalmania', Air "Dream Date"

New Zealand indie rock/jangle pop band Salad Boys have announced they will release their debut album 'Metalmania' on September 18th, via Trouble In Mind Records.

The band is made up of vocalist/guitarist Joe Sampson, bassist Ben Odering, and drummer Jim Nothing, and they have already supported acts like Sebadoh, The Bats, and Parquet Courts in their native land.

The clip, directed by Creature, is "an explosive splosh of tramadol rock. The protagonist is locked in a back pain relief haze where he can do is watch Anthony Bourdain repeats and contemplate his own existence."
