The Horrors Announce New Album, Reveal New Track "I See You"

British psych rockers The Horrors have announced they will release their fourth studio album titled "Luminous" on May 6 via XL Recordings.

Watch: Cut Copy Air Music Video For "We Are Explorers"

Australian indie dance outfit Cut Copy have aired the video for their latest single "We Are Explorers", another cut taken from their fourth studio album 'Free Your Mind', released in November 2013. 

The video was directed by Masa Kawamura, Aramique & Qanta Shimizu, and features 3D printed figurines exploring the streets of Los Angeles.

"We wanted it to be tactile, to feel like a real adventure and felt we could accomplish this by creating a tangible character that we would shoot outside on location in every place," the directors explained.

Howling Bells Announce New Album ‘Heartstrings’, Stream New Track "Slowburn"

Australia born London based indie four-piece Howling Bells have announced they will released their fourth full-length album titled ‘Heartstrings’on June 2 via Birthday Records.

Recorded at London's Assault and Battery Studios with producers Catherine J Marks and Alan Moulder, the album was completed in 11 days, resulting in a potent collection of songs.

About the recording process, frontwoman Juanita Stein, said:  "Having a deadline means you're forced to make crucial artistic decisions in a very short time. You don't have the luxury of overthinking. I feel this process shaped the album. As a result, you become incredibly connected to the musical spirit of the band. We loved every second of it".

Devo's Founding Member Bob Casale Dies at Age 61

DEVO's founding member and guitarist Bob Casale, has died at the age of 61.

TMZ reported that Casale  passed away on February 17 after medical complications unexpectedly led to heart failure. 

Bob's brother Gerald confirmed the news saying: "Very sad news to report today. Bob Casale of Devo. Born: July 14th, 1952. Deceased: February 17th, 2014. As an original member of Devo, Bob Casale was there in the trenches with me from the beginning. He was my level-headed brother, a solid performer, and talented audio engineer, always giving more than he got."

"He was excited about the possibility of Mark Mothersbaugh allowing Devo to play shows again," the statement continued. "His sudden death from conditions that lead to heart failure came as a total shock to us all."

The cult new wave band formed in Ohio in 1972, the classic line-up of the band consisting of the Casale brothers, Mark and Bob Mothersbaugh and Alan Myers (Myers died of brain cancer in June 2013). Gerald recruited his brother Bob for guitar/keyboards. 

RIP Mr. Casale.

Sydney based indie pop band The Griswolds have unleashed the video for "Red Tuxedo".

The song is taken from the band's debut EP 'Heart OF A Lion', released in 2012 through Wind-up Records. They're currently working on their new album, with producer Tony Hoffer, who has previously worked with The Kooks, Phoenix, Temper Trap and M83.

The animated video was directed by NY director Kris Mercbelow, who explains: "My only goal with this piece was to make people smile and remember how it was to love when you where young, and to remember how bitter it was, but how sweet it was too. Cartoons, celebrities, icons, sex, anime, video games, money. Getting lost in that nostalgia really struck me. The escapism of it all. The cool shit we as a generation shared, I mean I fucking love Power Rangers. I still wish I was the Green Ranger till this day."

Following the line of their excellent debut single "Purple and Gold", Kelly is also catchy, highly melodic and with a colorful combination of space rock and psychedelic pop. Highly recommended! You can get the track now from iTunes

Both tracks will feature their upcoming debut effort "Above The Tide", which was mixed in Los Angeles with no other than Tony Hoffer (M83, Beck, Air, Phoenix, The Fratellis). Recorders mix post-pop, indie, rock and electro and are known for their captivating, dancy and energetic gigs.

Watch: Towns Release Music Video For "Young At Heart"

Bristol based psychedelic indie pop band Towns have released the video for their new single "Young At Heart", out on March 3 on limited cassette and digital release from Howling Owl Records.

The song will be the first single to be released from the band's upcoming debut album 'Get By', which will be oot on May. The album was recorded and mastered with the help of fellow Howling Owl Records label mates Dom Mitchison (Velcro Hooks) and Hugo Bishop (Oliver Wilde) and Oliver Wilde at their Malthouse Studios.

Watch: Younghusband Unveil Music Video For "Left Of The Rocks"

London psych-pop band Younghusband have unveiled the video for their latest single "Left Of The Rocks", off their debut album 'Dromes' which was released back in September via Sonic Cathedral. 

The song is part of our current playlist and will be released as a single on February 17, backed with two brand new recordings: a slow, menacing cover of John Cale's 'Gun', originally found on the ex-Velvet Underground man's 1974 solo album ‘Fear’, and a live in the studio version of the title track. About the track, frontman Euan Hinshelwood says: "'Left Of The Rocks' is loosely about a love triangle gone wrong, and never being able to get away from it. We had a few versions, but with [album producer] Nicolas Vernhes' help we simplified it down to its most important elements. We had The Fall in mind, 'Bend Sinister' era. There is obviously a krautrock influence, too, but that's more apparent live. There’s still a pop song at its core."

Composed by Santiago, Paco y Elías, the trio have revealed that they find inspiration in bands such as The Smiths, Happy Mondays, Psychedelic Furs and even Hombres G.  

The song has been added to our current playlist and is the second single taken from their upcoming EP 'Girls', which will be released on February 21, via Sicario Music.

The VHS tape-style video features the band performing the song mixed with funny animated images, you'll see pieces of pizza, a dog, some dancing sharks, ghosts, Earl Sinclair and gremlins of course...

British indie dance band Metronomy have premiered the video for their latest single "Love Letters".

Directed by Michel Gondry (who has previously worked with artists such as Daft Punk, The White Stripes, Radiohead and Beck.), the clip features the band performing the song into an animated psychedelic set.

In a statement, Metronomy's Joe Mount said, "To work with Michel was a real joy, he's a very unpretentious and easy going guy. We're all easy going guys too so the day was very easy going. Watch: His Clancyness Releases New Video For "Miss Out These Days"

Bologna-based musician His Clancyness (aka Jonathan Clancy, frontman of A Classic Education) has released the video clip for "Miss Out These Days", off his debut album 'Vicious', released back in October via Fat Cat Records.  

About the song, Clancy explains: "This is a song about deciding to step out of the rotation, leave everything behind, block the screens out and close your eyes for a second."

The animated video was directed by Anna Deflorian, who, together with Michele Bernardi, adapted the unstable, funny, mean and vicious characters of her comic book "Roghi" to the video.

Roanoke, Virginia, dream punk/pop trio Eternal Summers have shared the visuals for "Gouge."

The song is the first single taken from their upcoming album 'Drop Beneath', which will be released on March 4 via Kanine Records. Pre-order your copy here.

The video, directed by Lurid Pictures, features lead vocalist Nicole Yun standing in front of a projector screens that display nature footage with overlays of the band members' lips and eyes.
