Was Punk Rock Born in Peru? - Los Saicos

Who invented punk rock? Was it the Ramones in New York? Was it the Sex Pistols in the UK? FALSE! It was Los Saicos in Peru.

One of punk's best kept secrets, Los Saicos were the original Peruvian proto-punks. After storming onto the Peruvian music scene, Los Saicos rocked for only a little over a year, but left a lasting influence on the sound of the 60s and future punk to come.

Liverpool-based singer-songwriter Dan Croll has unveiled a new video for the Baardsen Remix of his latest track "In/Out" out now via Deram / Universal. 

The original version of the song was featured as Single of the Week on Kool Rock Radio. Both, original and remix are catchy and fun. 

The black & white video was filmed by Rob Godfrey at Crall's back garden, cost nothing and took two hours.

The Saturnettes Reveal New Album Artwork & Tracklist

Finland indie-pop band The Saturnettes have revealed more details for their upcoming sophomore album 'The Saturnettes Vol. 2', which will drop late this year (the exact release date is TBA).

The follow up to the band's 2011 eponymous debut, will feature 8 tracks including the already unveiled songs "Someway", "Bob From The Cure" and "Just Beacause",  which are part of our current playlist www.koolrockradio.com.

Watch: NYPC (New Young Pony Club) Share "Hard Knocks" Music Video

London duo (formerly a five-piece) NYPC have shared the video for "Hard Knocks", the first cut from their upcoming self-titled studio album, out on October 7 via The Numbers. 

The song is part of our current playlist www.koolrockradio.com and will be released as a single on August 12.
