Jarman has been working on the new band with Jen Turner, once of Here We Go Magic. According to reports they have already completed an album of new music after a busy period of studio sessions. A handful of gigs for the duo around New York recently included a spot supporting The Vaccines.

"The whole point of what we're trying to do is be very liberated, to be able to do what we want and live how we want – we live at the end of the day, we find we write better at the night, late at night or seven in the morning" Jarman said in an recent interview.

"That really adds a whole different feel to it. It suits both our characters better. We both live at the other end of the day anyway."

Primal Scream Complete Work On New Album

Primal Scream have revealed that they have completed their yet-untitled new album and will release it early next year.

In a recent interview, singer, Bobby Gillespie said: "It's a rock'n'roll record, but modern rock'n'roll. Pretty psychedelic rock, it's kind of guitar-driven but we use guitars in an orchestral way, not in the normal way people make rock records. I think we do it in a more interesting way. We weave the guitars in with electronics and other acoustic instruments to make the core sound."

"This record is really sophisticated in terms of the production, the instruments we've used and the arrangements. The songwriting has got better! Live we're a guitar rock'n'roll band but when we make records... it would boring if we just made guitar records, we've got our own way of doing things. It's Primal Scream music." He added.

The new album will marked the band's first new full-length since 2008's Beautiful Future.

Thin Lizzy To Record New Album in 29 Years

Thin Lizzy are set to release their first brand new album in 29 years. The band will go into the studio next month, recording their first LP without former frontman Phil Lynott, who died in 1986.

This new material will be the band's 12th studio album following their 1983's 'Thunder and Lightning'. The band, who have been touring for the past two years, told Hot Press that they might be playing some of their new material at their Dublin Olympia show on December 13.

Along with Damon Johnson and Scott Gorham, the current Thin Lizzy lineup consists of drummer Brian Downey, keyboardist Darren Wharton, bassist Marco Mendoza and vocalist Ricky Warwick.

Gorham said: "I'll be going out to Los Angeles at the end of the month to work on some songs with Damon and then I think we will start recording in October in our producer Kevin Shirley's studio."

Shirley has worked with Iron Maiden and Led Zeppelin. Gorham added: "We are all excited about the new record but especially Ricky and Damon, they just can’t wait to start recording! You have got six guys there that are chomping at the bit that can’t wait to get this thing going."

Thin Lizzy formed in Ireland in 1969 and their classic hits include 'The Boys are Back in Town' and 'Jailbreak.'

Watch: Sex Pistols Share Brand New Video For 'Holidays In The Sun'

The Sex Pistols have posted a brand new clip for their classic single 'Holidays In The Sun', 35 years on from its original release.

The single was first released in October 1977, and is lyrically built around John Lydon‘s experiences in Berlin when the Pistols decamped there earlier that year as the media frenzy around the group escalated in the wake of their sacking by A&M Records.

Directed by Julien Temple, the clip uses home footage shot by John 'Boogie' Tiberi.

John Lydon recently looked back on that trip to Berlin. "Berlin was a very different town then. It was like that scene in Apocalypse Now when they go up the river and they see the flares and the party going on, all the soldiers on acid… That's what Berlin was like, with a chaotic war-zone wrapped around it. The Communists were looking in on this adventure playground. Quite mental."

New Order To Write New Material Next Year

Bernard Sumner has confirmed New Order will begin working on new material for the new year.

The band reformed without Peter Hook last year initially for two benefit gigs, but have since embarked on a series of full UK tours and festival appearances during the course of 2012.

And now Sumner has told BBC the reunion will continue into 2013, when a new album is likely to join the party. "We finish touring at the end of October and then we've got November off," he said. "After Christmas, we’re going to have a meeting about writing some new stuff."

"We've not decided yet, but from what we've seen from traveling around the world is that people want to hear some new stuff. Speaking to journalists and speaking to fans, they seem to really want to hear some new stuff. We won't play live as much next year, maybe half the amount we've done this year, and we'll write some new stuff."

Listen: Sex Pistols Stream Controversial 'Belsen Was A Gas' Demo With John Lydon Vocals

"Belsen Was a Gas" is one of the most controversial songs in the Sex Pistols catalogue,  it was originally written by Sid Vicious prior to joining the band, with added input from Johnny Rotten it became part of the bands live set from December 1977 onwards. 35 years later, the track that has never been aired before with John Lydon's vocals is streaming for you to listen to for the first time ever.

Here it is below.

The demo was presumed lost but has now been restored for use on the forthcoming 35th anniversary super deluxe box set release of the seminal "Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols" album through Universal Music UK this coming September 24th..

The demo was recorded at the Pistols Denmark Street rehearsal room by their soundman John 'Boogie' Tiberi on a TEAC four-track and adds reverb to Rotten's vocal.

"John decided to work on 'Belsen' with Sid, rearranging the lyrics while Steve and Paul worked on the track and I wired up Denmark Street to put it down to a 4-track," remembers John Tiberi. "It really shouldn't have to be said but that’s Sid on bass. It was very clumsy, no monitors, sound insulation was non-existent. I think they all enjoyed doing it outside of the Wessex environment, which had by then become quite oppressive. When I played it to (Pistols producer) Chris Thomas he probably thought I was barmy and couldn't understand the reverb vocal, but that’s the way John wanted it. I thought it was good as a kind of sketch idea."

The controversial subject matter and dark humor of the song was designed to upset and provoke and is certainly an interesting footnote to the Sex Pistols finite catalogue of songs.

You can pre-order your copy of the most influential album in British music history HERE.

Tom Tom Club Released First New Record In 10+ Years: 'Downtown Rockers'

Tom Tom Club, the band founded by Heads Tina Weymouth and Chris Franz (Talking Heads), released a new EP 'Downtown Rockers', their first new music in over a decade.

Like all their music over the last 30 years, the new Tom Tom Club's EP is still new wave with light and funky tunes that get your body moving, breezy, danceable and fun. The album was mixed by Ed Stasium, who also recorded and mixed Talking Heads '77 and umpteen Ramones classics.

Asked about the length of time between albums, Frantz said: "Well, yes, I did, but then I realized that we're not the kind of band that churns things out, or as quickly as we used to. We're a little circumspect now, more particular. And also, being grown-up adults, we've got a lot more responsibilities than we used to have."

We have 2 tracks from the EP in our regular rotation: 'Downtown Rockers' and 'You Make Me Rock and Roll'.

'Downtown Rockers' is released on Nacional Records today (September 11). Watch the artwork below.

Suede Recording New Album

Suede frontman Brett Anderson has confirmed that the band are back in the studio recording a new album.

"We've been working on the new Suede album, which has been really exciting," Brett Anderson said. "We've been writing for the last year, and recording on and off. We recording one session in May, and we've got another at Sarm studuios for a few weeks this month. It's where they did a load of 80s pop things, like Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Seal, stuff like that. It's Trevor Horn's studio. Is he producing it? Yeah right, though we actually had a meeting with him in the 90s, Saul from Nude wanted him to produce Head Music. But no, Ed Buller is producing it."

Asked about how has the recording been going, Brett said: "I've been loving it. Any album is brutally hard, and this one has been pretty hard. The first couple of months were us trying to get on the same wavelength, is this working, trying to develop the sound we wanted. A lot of the writing process for me is throwing stuff away, because you're finding out what you want to do. There was a lot of that, and we discarded quite a few songs. Early this year we started hitting on the sort of songs that we were aiming to write, and it's sounding really good now."

Continuing, Brett Anderson revealed that the album "sounds like Suede" although not "the last two albums". "It sounds like a cross between bits of 'Dog Man Star' and bits of 'Coming Up'. It's not as light as 'Coming Up', not la la la hooky, though there's pop moments" he said.

"Ed Buller is a real fan of pop music that really connects, the (Marc) Bolan sound, so it's edging in the big pop chorus direction. It feels like it's going to be good."

Mark Abrahamian, guitar player for Starship has died of a heart attack, aged 46.

The eighties star died on tour after a gig in Norfolk, Nebraska on Sunday night. The band were performing alongside Boston and Survivor on the tour.

Starship's manager Scott Harrison has revealed the guitarist had been suffering health complaints recently, saying that he had "been having chest pains for a while."

"We had just finished the show," he said. "We were back in the dressing room eating. He apparently told the bass player he wasn't feeling well."

"It's a shock to everyone," he added.

Starship has posted a Facebook message paying tribute to Abrahamian that reads, "We are all shocked and saddened at the sudden loss of our guitar player…Mark was a kind, thoughtful and innovative soul.  He was also a friend and family member.  Mark also happened to be one hell of a guitar player.  We are devastated by the loss of our brother and just dealing with it the best we can."

The band also paid tribute on their official Twitter feed, posting: "We will miss you, brother. Rest in peace, Mark".

Abrahamian lived in Austin, Texas and had been a member of the band since 2000, joining founding member Mickey Thomas in the line-up.

FUTURE UNLIMITED - Band on the Month September 2012

Future Unlimited are a synth-pop 80's flashback duo comprised by David Miller and Samuel D'Amelio. The pair found common ground in Nashville, TN when comparing their love of new-wave, no-wave, and post-rock from three decades prior.

For Future Unlimited, the 80's is not merely a by-gone era; to them, it is a mindset and a structure which makes sense. "It is our inspiration, we live it" says David. "We annoy each other quoting movies from it. And...we know the songs inside and out."

David Miller relocated from New York City's East Village neighborhood to join a band in Nashville. One night, he had an encounter with his downstairs neighbor due to a noise complaint. That encounter would lead to meeting his writing partner in Future Unlimited, Samuel D'Amelio, an up-and-coming DJ in Nashville. Realizing their common interest in classic punk, 80's no-wave, post-punk and everything in-between, the two ultimately formed a friendship and musical bond that serves as the core influence in their music.

Future Unlimited released their self-titled debut EP in March 2012.

Their new single 'Lightweight Eyes' it's been a favourite here on Kool Rock Radio since its released in July. They are currently working on new material.

**Their song "Golden" was featured as Single of the Week here on Kool Rock Radio from February 13 to april 20.
