L.U.V. Members Launch New Band DEATH BY SEXY

After two years and 1 EP, London based band L.U.V. members have launched a new band.

The  new band called DEATH BY SEXY is now comprised by Jimmy Sweet on Vocals and Guitar, Gabi on Drums, Claire on Bass, and Zan on Guitar.

Death By Sexy play 'Drug Pop'. Their sound is described as 'A dirty hum with a taste of bubblegum. The sound of rat pedals with the smell of rose petals. The feel of white heat and a little bit of sweet’.

David Bowie's The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust To Receive 40th Anniversary Reissue

In honor of the 40th anniversary of David Bowie's influential glam-rock concept album 'The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars', EMI will reissue the record on June 4 in the UK and June 5 in the U.S.

Originally released on 6th June 1972, 'Ziggy Stardust' was David Bowie’s fifth album, co-produced by Bowie and Ken Scott. The album's influence is immeasurable, it converted legions of fans, becoming the zeitgeist and a major influence on the next generation, particular those who were involved in the punk movement (musicians, artists, designers) and the subsequent re-birth of rock and pop.

The remastered 40th anniversary edition will be available on CD and limited-edition vinyl, the latter accompanied by an audio DVD that includes previously unreleased mixes.

My Bloody Valentine To Release Re-Mastered Albums & Rare Material

My Bloody Valentine are set to release two re-mastered albums, and a new compilation of EPs and previously un-released tracks.

The three releases, which include re-mastered versions of 1988's 'Isn’t Anything' and 1991's 'Loveless', will be available via Sony Commercial Music Group from 7th May.

Re-mastered and packaged with rarities, 'Loveless' will be expanded into a 2-disc set while the 'Feed Me With Your Kiss', 'You Made Me Realise', 'Glider' and 'Tremolo' EPs will be compiled into one album.

Watch: The Cribs New Video 'Come On, Be A No-One'

The Cribs have unveiled the video for their new single 'Come On, Be A No-One'.

The track is the first single to be taken from The Cribs' forthcoming album 'In The Belly Of The Brazen Bull', released on May 7th through Wichita Recordings.

This new album will be the band's first release since it was announced that ex-The Smiths' guitarist Johnny Marr had left the group in April 2011.

Arctic Monkeys Announce New Track 'Electricity'


Following the unexpected release of current single 'R U Mine' last month, Arctic Monkeys have unveiled details for a new track.

The new tune, called 'Electricity', will appear as the b-side to 'R U Mine' and both will be available on limited edition purple vinyl, exclusively as part of this year's Record Store Day on 21 April, 2012.

The band are currently in the middle of a lengthy stint across the USA and Canada and recently, the band's frontman Alex Turner has said that he wants to start writing the band's new album.
He said of this: "I don't try to write on the road. I might try to this time, just for a change. Usually, I get home and I realise it's bad, so I've not done it in the past. We've messed around in soundchecks, but I'm not gonna meet a deadline, and it's not like I need to write, though I want a head start for the next time around."

Miles Kane To Release New EP 'First Of My Kind' For Record Store Day


Miles Kane has unveiled plans to release a brand new EP, in support of Record Store Day.

The four-track EP was co-produced by Skream and includes a cover of Tom Jones classic ‘Looking Out My Window' as well as new track 'Night Runner'.
'Fisrt Of My Kind' will be available on limited edition vinyl on Record Store Day, Saturday April 21. A digital version of the EP will be made available from the day after.

O Children Announce New album 'Apnea'

O. Children are set to release their new album 'Apnea' through Deadly People on May 28th. "It's a really personal record", said lead singer Tobi O'Kandi of the album. "I didn't really write it for anyone else and I think that's how all music should be made. It's a very different album but it's kind of a 'heart on your sleeve' record."

BOTM March 2012 - INTO THE TREES

Into The Trees are a British alternative dream pop band, formed in Brighton in 2010. The three piece line-up are Grace Hutchinson (vocalist), Tom Bush (lead guitars) and Oli Turner-Lees (bass guitar & percussion).

Their sounds explores the collision of constructed soundscapes with an underlying narrative line which has been described as a "shoegazey, ambient yet lofi sound" and frequently featured highly in the local alternative charts.

The band's members fuse an impressive spectrum of experience and influence. Grace, a singer songwriter inspired by Tori Amos, Stevie Nicks & The Cure. Tom, inspired by classical guitar music as well as The Smashing Pumpkins, Jimi Hendrix & Pink Floyd, and Oli, a musical production engineer and bassist, inspired by Cocteau Twins, Husker Du & Slowdive.

They are currently working on new tracks, looking forward to forthcoming releases and live performances in Brighton and London this year.
